Who are the worst holdem poker drunkards in the world? I don’t mean nationality. I mean – professional holdem poker players. Even the most famous. I think it’s not mineral water in Nguyen’s bottle. And what if you’ll try to play holdem poker in one of the back rooms? Are there many people without beer? Actually, they are. But those have whiskey. They may have empty eyes, but full wallets. They don’t spend time working. They sleep all day long in order to play holdem poker at night. The main goal for them is to win. They don’t care about their appearance, they don’t care about their manner, but they do care about their hole cards. Why it happens? Because what’s the use of the perfect appearance if you have 7-2 offsuit.
No use. So, they don’t spend time working a regular job. What for? This is how their usual day looks like: he wakes up at 8:00 PM, freshens his nip and goes to the nearby pub. There he chooses a game and begins to play. And he’s sure that he will not show his best if he’s not drunk. Then he takes a cup of something like whiskey and goes to the back room: “Deal me in!”. No matter, what game it is now, no matter, how high the stakes are. He’s just playing.
